PowerAmp arrives to save Android 2.1+ users wanting a better media player

poweramp
PowerAMP has been in beta for a few weeks, and it has won quite a few fans in its limited release. Now that it’s available in the Android Market, the number of converts to this high-powered media player is sure to increase.
The stock Android player gets it done for some people, but it’s lacking in many areas. PowerAMP steps in to fill in some holes, namely in formats. The app supports MP3, MP4/A, Ogg, WMA, FLAC, and more. It also has a equalizer with pre-sets to try and secure a better sound (you’ll notice the difference more with headphones than you will with phone speakers).
Scrobbling, tag editing, themes, and widgets are also supported in PowerAMP. Download it now from the Android Market and see if it lives up to the hype of what everyone else is saying. This is just a trial, so the developers of the app are likely to issue a paid version sometime in the future.
